I am an 8th grader that goes to this school, and it isn’t the worst school if I’m being honest. There are many students that are sent to Gateway (the nearby school for juviniles) because of drugs, fighting, or threats, but the teachers are very good at handling it. There aren’t *many* clubs, but there’s enough so that you feel like the school cares at least a little bit about extracurriculars. We aren’t given as many opportunities as the more heavily-funded schools like Oklahoma Road, but we make do with what we have. It is very frustrating that we don’t have any school sports (because Carroll county is cheap) but the school musicals are very well done and very professional. There is a small LGBTQ+ community and many of them are open about their sexualities. Camouflage is a common sight and the Confederate Flag & Swastika were just banned from clothing and accessories. That is a huge plus.

The teachers are willing to work with students before and after school. There is lots of support from other adults
