I overall enjoy high school. Some of the negatives about our school is that the students tend to tear each other down instead of lifting them up, students can ruin the learning experience for others and teachers seem to be oblivious to what goes on especially in the bathrooms. Students will leave class to go to the bathroom and smoke usually. Some positives are that we have a great football team! Most of the teachers are supportive and encouraging, they will do what they can to help you succeed and provide you with as many resources they can. You’re encouraged to push yourself and be your best self. Northwest high school is a great school as long as you pick the people you hang around wisely.

The only problem I faced during my time at Northwest was the underfunding of the arts and overfunding of the sports. Being in Drama, we often didn’t have the money to buy new supplies or resources. The theater students were passionate and would make do with whatever we had, although I wish they didn’t have to.
The good things: Northwest is rich in school pride and student participation. At the football games, we’d be screaming from the stands and not only supporting the football players, but the cheerleaders and the band. You could always make a new friend at the football game. There is almost no bullying, and students stand up for one another. I think the sense of community at Northwest was the best part. In the last 4 years, Northwest has lost and grieved over 5 amazing students. Everyone at the school would come together- I saw compassion, kindness and support each and every time. We are a school that can overcome any hardship with the help of our friends, teachers and peers.
Northwest high school is an amazing school to go to. The teachers are always available to help and there's many resources if teachers aren't available at the time. Teachers also go out of their way to make sure students are okay and create relationships with all of them. The sports teams and clubs are a positive way for students to get involved and make friends. The variety of classes are good and help student's figuring out what they might want to do in life. The students are welcoming and are engaged with dances, coty, and pep assemblies. Overall I love going to this school and its a good environment to be in.
