Northwest Catholic High School Reviews
Rating 3.87 out of 5 195 reviews
Northwest Catholic High school holds a special place in my heart. It's a time of self-discovery, growth, and unforgettable experiences. The diverse range of subjects and extracurricular activities offer endless opportunities to explore my interests and talents. I relish the camaraderie formed with classmates, creating lasting friendships and shared memories. NWC fosters personal development, teaching me important life skills like time management, critical thinking, and teamwork. The guidance of dedicated teachers and mentors encourages my intellectual curiosity and ignites a passion for learning. Moreover, the vibrant atmosphere, spirited events, and school traditions add an exciting dimension to my daily routine. NWC is where I thrive, creating cherished memories that will shape my future
Northwest Catholic High School is a truly unique learning environment. All teachers and staff prioritize students wellbeing over grades or test scores. As a senior at NWC, I have created many meaningful connections with my teachers. They remember small details about me and make every student feel important. The art department is truly underrated. All the school productions are phenomenal. As a catholic school, I feel like we are very welcoming to all different types of religions. School pride is a big deal and many people partake in after school events.
Despite its flaws, Northwest Catholic had exceptional teachers and some fine folks you won’t meet elsewhere. Upon talking to alumni from schools like Loomis Chaffee, I’ve realized that every private school, including Loomis, suffer from the same problem: not enough resources for mental health. Although I had my fair share of struggles with the administration of Northwest Catholic, I believe wholeheartedly that, no matter what school you go to, you can achieve anything as long as you put your mind into it. So, rather than spending an arm and a leg going to a private school for over $30k, Northwest Catholic is a good option. Teachers like Ms. Keating-McKeon, Mr. Ohlheiser, Lord Fitzpatrick, and the wonderful athletics and arts department made this school a tad more bearable.
