I transferred to Northside High School my senior year (and currently still attend this school). When I first came, I realized the overall lack of social segregation and noticed that there was a sense of community among the students. That honestly surprised yet enthralled me, feeling as though I were in a healthy environment that encouraged personal and academic growth. All of the teachers I have had this year have been fantastic instructors who are knowledgeable or passionate about the subject in which they teach. I recommend this school to the students that plan on going to university after they graduate high school because there are multiple academic and tutoring programs to ensure future success.

I am a grandparent of a 9th grader (have had him since 4th grade) and this is his first year in high school. It has been many years since I've had a child in high school and much has changed! I have had to ask numerous questions in regards to classes, activities, exams, etc. Everyone from the principal to the counselor to the teachers have been extremely patient and kind. The school has also had several "scares" this year. The school has been very professional in handling school safety and keeping parents notified by text, phone calls, and email messages. I would highly suggest NHS for any family.
I love Northside because a lot of the teachers are easy to get along with and are personal. The administration is great because they are always willing to listen. Lastly, the school spirit is a big thing for me and going to the football and basketball games with all my friends supporting out teams is great!
