Bruin culture is real! The school did a really good job on wanting students to feel included and a part of the school with various school wide activities/events. The staff are dedicated to making sure students will pass their classes and leave the school knowing they’re capable of doing whatever they desire. Guidance staff are full of wonderful people who truly care about each and every student they come in contact with! Senior teachers especially are the ones to push students to graduate. School food offers a large variety of options, even lost COVID. The newly renovated gym is wonderful. Performing arts wings are incredible. Great public school and great representation of FWCS!
Northrop is amazing. The teachers are so nice and helpful, the students are nice and funny, and I feel like I couldn't be getting a better education at any other high school in Fort Wayne. There are so many opportunities, like the Intro to Engineering and Design class which is allowing me to get a head start on my college education. I am earning 3 college credits as a freshman! Also, there are a ton of ways to get involved. Northrop is a excellent school, but for some reason it has a bad reputation and doesn't get the respect it deserves. A lot of people think it is rough and think that there is a bullying issue, but I have not experienced this at all. If you are looking for a great high school to send your kid(s) to, this is definitely the most excellent high school in the greater Fort Wayne area.
Northrop has been a good experience. I met some amazing teachers. And was very involved with the performing arts here. Like show choir and theater. I was able to find life long friends and a special someone. But the networking i created, I'm able to reach out to alumni, mentors, and a very supportive community. Academically, I'm not the best. The academic curriculum isn't shared with the student body. The racial issues here, are never taken seriously. Administration doesn't do much for us.
