I attended here for my first 3 years of high school. Originally I was on the waitlist so I attended Cleveland a few minutes away. After getting accepted i was placed into classes that best fit me. The school was a bit small, but it’s honestly better. Everyone knows everyone, rarely any fights in school. Classes are easy if you study. Teachers are decent. Not many extra curricular activities or sports. However with the right support you can start your own club. They offer AP classes and honor classes only to the smart ones. You have to apply to get into an AP class and had to pay for the AP Exams at full price. No discount. Over all, the school was nice, many stairs to go up and down every day, helping us keep in shape lol. The food was average, just like any other LAUSD school. The classes worked in periods, so 3 classes a day every other day. It also worked in a semester basis instead i of quarterly. Just don’t slack off and do your homework and study into a nice university.
Northridge Academy High School was one of a kind. The school is fulfilled with love, friendship and a great education. The teachers and students were all nice and respectful m. It’s a good experience to live in it.
The overall structure of the school is excellent and a good school. Most of the teachers care about the education of their students and display it in a very obvious way. The students are very open-minded and creative to an extent. Something I would like to change is having the school change the schedule to having one day of the week for early dismissal.
