Going into NAHS, I was nervous and scared as I didn’t know many people going in. As school started, I quickly developed relationships with the upperclassmen, teachers, and my peers. The school encourages you to join clubs, athletics, and Honors or AP courses. They offer a lot of academic support such as after school tutoring if you are struggling. It’s a great learning environment considering the diversity among the student body and I have grown to understand many new cultures and traditions as a result. Personally, by struggling in elementary and middle school, NAHS has given me the proper education and preparation to apply to college in the Fall. The teaching staff, administration, student body, athletic programs, clubs, etc.. is amazing and I highly recommend Northridge Academy High School.

Northridge Academy High School sits on CSUN Campus, so students have access in on their campus, whether to take a munch at their food court, borrow books from the Oviatt Library, or do extensive research in their databases with their computers. Still, oddly enough, althetic teams do not have access to their fields and are left to practice elsewhere. Speaking of athletics, one could only take part in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, softball, and soccer. There are few clubs; if you do not find one of your taste, establish your own to benefit your record. As for academics, since there are few students, which allows for everyone to become quite close, the percentage of those in college after graduation are very much high. The teachers are like that of other schools—some are good while others are mediocre at best. All in all, this is the school you have your child attend to build life-long relationships and develop within a safe, open-minded environment.
I believe Northridge Academy has allowed me to excel like no other. If I were to have gone to a whole different school, I don’t believe the same opportunities would’ve been granted to me. Opportunities such as being able to take all the AP’s I wanted, and being able to have open communication with my teachers and counselors.
