Northland Pines High School is overall a great school for an individual to attend. Many courses are provided to benefit a student such as engineering, art, and all the essential classes a student may want to attend. Other than those courses, AP classes are also available to the student body to take advantage of. These opportunities all help a student through their journey to future education and work. NPSD not only provides great curricula but also a great facility that provides a field house that contains numerous rock climbing courses, a vast amount of space for sports, and a public weight room. Not only is the campus great but the student body overall is quite decent. NPSD may not have huge diversity within the student body but the overall atmosphere of the school is much better than other schools, especially since it is public. Staff handle situations fairly well and are overall friendly and helpful. NPSD really is an all-around safe and excellent school for students.
The facilities are cold in the winter but nice, and the teachers certainly try their best. Racism is a big problem because the student body isn't diverse. Most of the kids are nice, and if you're academically oriented, then NPHS is awesome. There's a great, if under-funded, theater and music program, but NPHS definitely favors athletics over the arts. Sharing a building with the middle school isn't ideal, either. The school spirit is good, though.
My favorite thing about going to school at Northland Pines are the teachers that are willing to help you succeed!
