I was born in Nepal in 2004 and raised there until I was 8 years old. I was a Hindu when I was younger, not knowing about the world. I moved to America in 2011. When I arrived here, everything was new, especially when I started school. I began to learn about new subjects that I had never studied before like science. . I never knew what science was. As I started to learn more about it, I began to study it more than Hinduism. I started to believe it more than my own religion because it had facts and proof. This was when I began to drift apart from my religion. My parents started to notice this and were not happy. My parents were not happy with my decision to believe in science over religion.

I came to Northland High school as a freshmen and now I am a junior. When I first came to Northland just like any first years, I was having trouble finding classes and being on time. The teachers are very good especially Mr. Thornhill. He loves his job and himself and all of his students. He not only teaches us spanish but also things that helps us as a person and for our life. I had joined chess and also couple of my friends joined too. The chess teacher was Mr.Branch. He is super cool and fun. We went to a tournament, though we couldn't win, we had very much fun. I had joined volleyball team but due to me not being that good and due to corona, I quit. But next year I plan on joining it with my cousin brother who also goes to Nothland. My favorite food there is veggie pizza and I wished they would give that everyday but I know not everyone has the same opinion. Overall I like Northland.
My experience at Northland High School was great. They have great opportunities for students to learn. They have colleges classes, AP classes and engineering classes as well. Teacher were also good. Most of the teachers are nice, teach well and open to everyone. I believe the only change Northland needs is better food.
