I came to Northland High school as a freshmen and now I am a junior. When I first came to Northland just like any first years, I was having trouble finding classes and being on time. The teachers are very good especially Mr. Thornhill. He loves his job and himself and all of his students. He not only teaches us spanish but also things that helps us as a person and for our life. I had joined chess and also couple of my friends joined too. The chess teacher was Mr.Branch. He is super cool and fun. We went to a tournament, though we couldn't win, we had very much fun. I had joined volleyball team but due to me not being that good and due to corona, I quit. But next year I plan on joining it with my cousin brother who also goes to Nothland. My favorite food there is veggie pizza and I wished they would give that everyday but I know not everyone has the same opinion. Overall I like Northland.
I'm a high school senior at Northland High School. I have a very good overall experience with the school. The school offers many college readiness courses such as AP classes, Columbus Credit Plus (CCP), AVID, and career-technical programs. Many of the students were able to take CCP/AP courses as early as their sophomore years. The teachers are awesome and friendly.
Sports were great and access to other academic options like: engineering courses, ap classes, college credit, and career center was well handled. However, there were very few students that actually took advantage. There were fights occasionally, drugs in the school, poor counseling, and lack of senior activities. There was a notable gap between students that cared and those that didn't
