I have had the greatest experience here. The teachers and counselors are so dedicated to helping you succeed. The students are all incredible and committed to receiving their education. We have had some of the best dances and events I've ever been to, and the campus is big and still developing. While I have loved going to school here, I do wish we had music or sports programs. Extracurriculars like that are available through other high schools, but it can make it time consuming and difficult. That being said, I love this school and all the people in it. Should you ever have the chance to go here, take it! I will graduate with my Associates Majoring in Spanish as well as a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish. How many other graduating seniors can say the same?
Love this school! It is very STEM oriented and they really focus on academics. If you're looking for a convenient way to get a lot of college credit or even your Associate's while in high school, then I highly recommend this school. You're surrounded by many students that are in the same mind-set as you and are looking for that academic challenge. There are also kids coming in from so many different schools so you meet a lot of people from all over. This school has more diversity compared to the past schools I've attended here in Utah. Teachers are amazing. They are there to help you when you need it and it's easy to get a hold of them, especially with small class sizes. Same goes for counselors and administration. The smallest class I had had 13 people! There aren't any sports teams, but there are other clubs. You can still play sports at your home public high school. There's also intramural sports held by the school and college that you can attend.
Honestly, I absolutely loved my high school experience. It was completely rigorous and challenging at times, but it made me into the person I am today, and for that I am grateful. The community of NUAMES is on that is so close knit and you feel so loved just being on campus. The experience is unlike any high school I’ve ever set foot in and it’s just something I feel like most kids in Utah would love to be a part of. I am planning on majoring in English even though my school is a STEM based school and they have still supported me enough and taught me enough that I feel beyond capable of majoring in English just as I would in a major like Psychology. NUAMES allows you to find your own personal growth and goals in life but it also puts you at an advantage with the ability to graduate with your Associates Degree. I loved my school and I am so proud to be a Nighthawk!
