One of the best aspects of N.E.W. Lutheran is its quality of education. The school's teachers have an exceptional knowledge of their field, whether it be English, mathematics, or science. Secondly the school has developed a strong international student program, and I personally enjoyed the diversity that came with it. Sports make up at least half of the school's extracurricular activities, and just as much of the school's overall culture. Don't worry, non-athletes. Math Team, robotics, drama, and student-led music bands have you covered.
To be frank, many of the students that attend N.E.W. came from Lutheran middle schools, but there is plenty of room for kids like me who originated from a public school. The school's dress code is a degree stricter than that of typical schools, but it is fairly straightforward -- you don't have to dress up too fancy, and on Wednesdays, you can pay a buck or two to wear sweatpants.

It’s a great environment to learn, grow in your faith, and create relationships with people. One thing I really enjoy is the teacher to student relationship. There are few students that go to the school, so the teachers get one on one time with the students and they really care about whether you succeed. Another thing I enjoyed was that everyone at the school is christian, which eliminates a lot of bullying and drama with the students. The school does a good job of stressing that every single person there is important and loved by God.
I have had a great experience at NEW Lutheran. I love the Christian atmosphere, and the closeness you gain with other students and teachers. NEW is very good at teaching their classes and I have learned a lot here in both my education and religion. The only thing I would change would be the negative attitudes that follow some of the students around. I would love to see everyone get along, though I doubt that would happen anywhere you go.
