Northeast offers a lot more than meets the eye. It is a small school without a lot of money. But the programs and students are exceptional.

There are many AP and AICE classes, which count for college credit and can get a student bright futures. A major benefit of taking these classes at this school is that many of them have few students,7-20, allowing teachers to focus on their students.

Then there are the magnet programs, which are fun and representative of the practical applications of science. Biotechnology explores genetic engineering, microbiology, and the creation of pharmaceuticals. I did not take the alternative energy program, so I can't elaborate on the experience offered, however this program is certainly insightful for aspiring engineers. There are many fun projects and field trips we do for these programs. For example, in biotechnology we went shark tagging and had a project funded by NASA. There are also many students sharing a patent from Microsoft #makewhatsnext

I liked that it was a melting pot of students from different countries and ethnicities. I tried to be active in the activities that took place on campus, and there was plenty to do! Being a transfer student from California, Florida was said to have subpar educational system and the academia athe Northeast wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. Hey, if you excel at sports, you will go to college!
Throught my eperience at Northeast High School, flaws are abundent. Physically, this school is is shambles, the whole school is riddled with mold, rats and other ungodly infestations. Most rooms located in the south building are abundant with mold, making the air stiff and stagnant most of the time, not to mention the paint peeling of the walls and charming missing ceiling panels in some rooms. In physical aspects Northeast is a mess but don't worry, it's also a mess in its faculty! Most administation and security are all very look-the-other-way-esque, which for students might be very nice but, in retrospect, it is a very scary thing. A positive thing I can say about this school is its diversity. Northeast is one of the most culturally diverse schools in the state of Florida. Though everyone is very different at Northeast, we all live together in harmony. All groups mix together beautifully, creating an incredibly unified school.
