The teachers were awesome! There was a lack of resources devoted to the drama club. However, some of the parents formed a booster club last year. They were able to raise more funds for the spring musical. They also publicized the musical more widely. Attendance was way up from the past year.

I would describe my years at Northampton High School as very good. I believe my experience there was likely better than some others' experiences there, due to the nature of my level of study. I was an AP student, so the teachers I had were definitely more committed to their classes and to actually teaching the material. However, there were a few AP teachers who didn't quite have it all together and I believe because of that, the success of some students' grades and corresponding AP exam grades suffered. Overall though, most of the teachers were very kind, helpful, and genuinely interested in the academic and personal successes of their students.
I wouldn't describe my experience at Northampton Area High School as being awful, but there are some things that could stand to be changed and improved. There's a mix of good and bad teachers, good and bad students, and the quality of classes obviously varies with these factors.
In my experience, administration and guidance can be frustrating to deal with, and there are flaws with their system of scheduling. My junior year I did not receive a math course at all in my schedule, and didn't hear back from my counselor to change it until 20 minutes before the beginning of the class I was moved into.
Many students here have very little school spirit, and will often joke about the school's quality (in some cases, teachers as well.)
There are many clubs at the school to join, and it seems like there should be something for anyone looking to join a club to make friends or further their interests.
