North Warren Regional High School is a small school. On average each grade has around 100-150 students. The academics at North Warren are good. There will always be a few teachers that are not that good but overall all my teachers were great. Any time I needed extra help or had a few questions teachers would always be happy to help. The sports at North Warren are average. Some sports teams are much better than others. Due to budget cuts classes and teachers are being minimized. There will not be as many AP classes at North Warren as there would a bigger school. As for college preparation, you are kind of on your own. There is a college counselor and students have guidance counselors but they do not do much. I believe North Warren handled the quarantine situation very well. North Warren made sure every student had a chrome book and made sure students could get a new one if theirs broke. Overall I have enjoyed being a student at North Warren.

As my time at this school has been coming to a close I have recognized more and more all of the amazing things it has to offer. It provides students with everything from wood shop to music to AP Macroeconomics. I look at my time and this school and I realize how blessed I am, and this mostly is because of the amazing teachers I had the honor of studying from. All of the teachers at the school have shown how much they care not only about their subject but about their students, and this pandemic has only served to highlight this fact. I have never had a teacher who did not provide outside sources and activities whether we wanted them or not. They also put in extra time to help us run tons of clubs from German Club to Mock Trial, helping us get extra experience in what we love.
Also, I have never felt unsafe at school. We have people who sit at the front desk who are professionally trained to protect us if need be (though it is sad that we need to worry about that in the first place).
North Warren is a small public school in northern New Jersey. The school has some teachers who are passionate about teaching, but others are not. The school is currently in a budget crisis, as the new governor's plan slashed our already minimal budget. Their is talk of cutting AP classes, which hurts the academically motivated students. New school rules limit the students to almost no freedom, treating them as children instead of almost adults. I am happy to leave the school and move on to college.
