North Star is a wonderful school filled with exceptional teachers, principles, and other staff truly committed to seeing their kids succeed. A few years ago my son was blessed enough to make his way off of the lottery waiting list and was offered a spot in the 1st grade. Walking into this school literally felt like a breath of fresh air when compared to his prior school. Everyone we met on our tour that first day was very helpful and welcoming. All the staff had a genuine smile on their face and I could feel that they were happy to be there. Such a pleasant surprise!

North Star Charter is a really high-level education school with a great learning environment and great teachers. I had an awesome Freshmen year there. My English teacher told me that my class was learning 11th-grade material compared to the local public school. North Star is a small school - way smaller than your average high school. However, this allows the teachers and students to get to know and trust each other more, which I really like. One thing I would like to see change is communication of events and upcoming activities to the students. When I was there, I didn't know about a lot of what was going on in the school community. One time, I showed up and apparently, it was picture day, and I had no idea. This happened a lot when I was there and I think it's a problem. If I don't know what's going on in the school community, how am I supposed to get involved?
Overall, North Star Charter is an amazing school that gives high-quality education in a great environment. I love it!
North Star Charter School is a fantastic K-12 school which offers the IB program to students in the Eagle area. While the school is still relatively young, the administration and teachers work hard to improve the school every year. Most of the teachers care deeply about the success of their students and keep in touch with them after graduation. North Star High School is a very challenging school, especially once students begin the IB program their junior year. Be prepared for heavy homework loads and confusing assignments as IB caters to the abstract mindset. Overall I would say North Star is a good school for students who want a small school experience and want something other than AP.
