If you do not advocate for yourself, no one will. That is a lesson you will learn from attending this school. School was not very cleanly (dead roaches lining the halls, water coming up from the drains in bathrooms) and the authority figures have a tendency of treating students like delinquents, even over minor discretions. This school was not a very caring environment in my experience, and will absolutely allow you to fall through the cracks if you do not make yourself known.
North springs high school has been a fine experience. The school gets the job done and has great arts program. I tried out for many musicals, went to chorus 5, ceramics 5, was a chorus class vice president and president, and participated in multiple out of school chorus competitions. I do think the school could do a better job of including all races all though there are many resources sometimes it seems they pay a lot more attention to the white kids more as a lot of the schools funding comes from them.
As a student at North Springs, I would say the academics are great. While there are certain teachers who make classes harder than necessary, there are plenty of teachers who genuinely care about providing you with a quality education and want to see you succeed. I will say they could do better when it comes to providing more social events for students, the events that have been provided have always been fun.
