The small school experience is nice but the school has deteriorated over the past few years in terms of success. It isn't the school's fault, really. It's at the district level.
I am a graduate of North High School and my experience was a general one. I made it a purpose to get in and get out. This was before the districts consolidated, however, and the school was slightly less than average. Classes were basic and few teachers were enjoyable and taught well. From my former classmates who have yet to graduate, I have heard it has not changed.
Lack of teachers are the main concern for North Middle/High. Currently the teachers who are professional are leaving to either retire or teach in bigger schools in other areas. Because of the lack of education, students have no choice but to take online schooling where they struggle and have to take the course(s) over because of no help. Extra-curriculum class opportunities are beyond little to none. Drivers education class is being removed next school year (2018-2019). Due to the school’s loss may effect student’s learning in college.
