The school would be great had the school not focus on giving students who arrive to school late a detention. The administrators says "it helps prepare the students for the college life" but in reality it doesn't, a student could be 2 minutes late and still have them waiting in a long line for a detention slip. It is ridiculous! I have been 5 minutes late before and after waiting in that line i end up missing 50 minutes of class. I've complained about it before but the only people who would see is the people that are in the school daily. Once an important visitor is coming there is no lock out.

Im currently a freshman and because of covid i have mostly started my school year of in online school. The teachers have don't well in teaching the learning concepts when it was only online, but now that we are hybrid the learning experience have lowered a little. It is a great school all together but you can only know for yourself. The school is very diverse because since it is mostly black Hispanic, etc races all over the campus. The staff is very diverse also; it is full of different adults trying to inspire the young minds of the future. Having this much diversity in the school allows the students to learn from different cultures and aspects of life. The different clubs and activities makes the school fun for the students and active. Clubs and activities such as volleyball, football, cheerleading, women of tomorrow, and etc shows the different ways of fun can be conducted in the school. All in all, this is a very great school, having tons of diversity, and fun club activities.
Although I had great friends here before graduating, and many people who were at the school before me might say that it was good to attend, but my four years weren't the best. Sports are average, staff plays favoritism and barely do their jobs. Security is undertrained, teachers are poor at evaluating their students and give them work that is a waste of time with no correlation to college readiness. Lunch... Don't even get me started. For a continuous period of time, my senior year, the kitchen equipment was broken so we were being fed graham crackers and dry cereal for breakfast, and lunch was cheesy breadsticks, or cold cheese and ham sandwiches. Terrible. Diversity is great. There are students of all colors from everywhere, with all types of languages. Bullying was never an issue my four years. Students, although not everyone was friendly with everyone, no one ever purposely bullied anybody. I would only go back for my friends and a handful of teachers. Nothing else.
