North Kansas City High School is the most diverse school in the state of Missouri as of June 2020. Not only is it diverse but it provides a culture of equity, equality, inclusion, and excellence. Every student has their place and every teacher wants to help them in every way they can. North Kansas City high school is a family. The teachers genuinely care about each other and the students and will do anything to help their students succeed. The facilities are brand new but the culture is the same. We have historic traditions dating back almost one hundred years that each student is proud to take part in. Our school spirit is unmatched because every student knows that our school is unmatched. We are proud to be apart of the North Kansas City students and alumni and the sense of community we have with our fellow students, alumni, and the city of North Kansas City that supports the school, programs, and students. The academics provide a wide variety of options including AP and IB.
Northtown is the most diverse high school there is and everyone gets along well. All the administration people try and talk to the kids and all the teachers create bonds with their students. The school is involved in the AVID program which allows students to prepare themselves for college and future tests by teaching us how to study and survive the real world after high school. The best thing about Northtown is the open campus lunch I had all 4 years! All my teachers and counselors would meet me half way to help me reach ym goals and be a great student-athlete. The GREATEST OF ALL TIME experience I've had at Northtown was win state for basketball class 5A and be 7th place in class 5A for triple jump all in one year.
Everyone in Northtown is very friendly with each other! The teachers and staff are very nice and will always love to help the students and parents who come to this school! The IB and AP courses are also fantastic, although they can be hard, the teachers will take their time to help you through anything difficult. This school also allows a variety of courses and opportunities for the students!
