My child is absolutely loving North JH, all of her teachers are phenomenal, and her grades are better than her elementary grades! If you have the opportunity to get your kid into North, take it!
North is really an excellent school, but just based off of poor diversity and bad facilities it just deserves a very good. Kids, try to get Ms. Bernert!
I think this school does a great job with making learning fun for students. Every year we had two "team days" where the whole class would go on an educational outing in order to bond students and faculty and kick off the school year on a positive note. The science department is funded well, and students can do lots of experiments. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the art department, which is barely keeping its head above water.
Another struggle this school has faced and has taken absolutely no steps towards remedying is the very serious bullying culture. The mental health counseling is weak at best and not much besides team days is done to unify the student population. The student body elections are based almost exclusively on popularity and don't have any requirements for school participation or performance for high ranking officers.
