Coming from the bare minimal African american girl(s), NHECHS is quite an amazing school! Some things could be change but it isn't really needed. At my school, we attend colleges to graduate with a degree in either Science or Art. Starting as an Freshman you can only take one college class so they don't overload your core classes. Although its a widespread change of coming from a middle to jumping to college. The experience is much needed. My favorite thing about my school is probably the freedom we have. Our freedom is strictly enforced so we can adjust to the college life. That being said we dont have signals bells. So I strongly suggest you to know your schedule.

The main giveaway here is the phenomenal ability to simultaneously take high school classes AND college classes. It really helps with becoming familiar with the typical college setting. The staff here is also very nice and responsible, and the student deans here are also willing to help. Most notably is Ms. Roberts, who although most students deem her as a bit too much, is actually very supportive towards students, and really tries to make sure that everyone is college ready!
Though small in size, North Houston Early College High School is an amazing school that offers the opportunity to understand what college will actually feel like. The teachers are extremely reliable to teach and to help students, everyone is like one big happy family where we help each other and lift each other up. Because it is a small school everyone knows each other, and teachers get to know students on a more personal level than in normal any other "normal" high school. North Houston excells in getting its students ready for college, there is a lot of homework but overall it pays off because it gets you ready for college and for your future regardless of your major. Overall the school is amazing and the bond students and staff are able to build with each other is worth more than what any other school can offer.
