For the two years I've been here, I've had a great experience at North! I believe Norths academics are a big part of what makes it stand out. North provides its students the International Baccalaureate program for those who want to receive a high-quality education. North, its faculty, and students take the initiative to help others and help our community grow.

North has some great opportunities such as the International Baccalaureate program and the ACE program, Dual Enrolment and AP classes. North has 40 clubs some being; DECA FBLA Hiking Club NHS Robotics and Student Government. Unlike other school district’s Phoenix Union offers tutoring time during School, this is known as Map, students have the opportunity to work on assignments, study or read. No high school is perfect, North does have some downsides, many students are on drugs, some teachers are really focused and determined to help better their student's learning, but there are also a few that a very lax about grading and helping students. Some things I would like to see a change in the size of the cafeteria, it just isn't big enough to fit 1,000 kids, this leaves students outside in the hot sun. So far my experience at North has been good, I've met good friends and wonderful teachers. Counselors have been very kind about giving me advice and more in-depth about different classes.
What I liked about North was the athletics because there are some teams that are really good. For example, recently the varsity volleyball team ended the season with a 17-1 record which is by far the best season ever. I also liked the resources available meaning our counselors because they help us with whatever we need whether it’s classes or preparation for college. Sometimes it’s hard making friends because there are kids who are bad but some are good it just takes awhile. Overall out of my four years I had a pretty good high school experience. I didn’t like the food as much because it would be the same thing everyday there’s not much of a variety as many of us would like to have
