My child has been at NHC for 2 1/2 years, and we are very happy with the education he is being provided! First and foremost, he is receiving a Christian education! His teachers have been caring and responsive. His classmates are mostly kind and friendly. It’s worth the tuition and drive for us.

From 3rd to 7th and then I came back for 9th and 10th. As I got older I began to like this school less and less. The Hardin family plays favorites with their kids. I was forced to be in a class with two of the grandchildren of the owner and some of their friends. In the many years, I attended, they all got away with basically anything. The principal Dr. Hunt is a great man, but his hands are tied because the owners do not let him do anything about it. I did enjoy some of my time there only because I had some tight friends. They were the only reason I ever bothered to go back to high school there. This school used to be great when Josh Hardin ran it. The owner forces every teacher to attend his church and forced Josh into leaving because they had different beliefs. Remember, they are literally family and he doesn't want to go to his church. Please do not send your kids here. I have been a thousand times happier at John Hardin and leaving NHC was one of the best decisions of my life.
This school is nowhere "Christian" at all. School is really for the administration family and for kids who are religious in the baptist belief. If you are not related to the administration family or friends with them you will not enjoy the school. A student in my class who is the grandson of the principal thinks racist jokes are funny, now i'm not religious but i'm pretty sure Jesus didn't like racism. The school is low on college prepping and sports. There are no guidance counsels and if you don't play basketball ( male ) or volleyball ( female ) they don't care about you in a way, its hard to explain in text. Its also a pro-dominant white school.
