North Gwinnett High School is the school to be at. It has the charm, the commitment, the teachers, and the compassion. When you enter into the high school everyday you feel like this is going to be a good day. You have larger connections with friends. You get to grow closer to the people you care about. I’m in the JROTC program at the school and it is the best thing about North Gwinnett. I look forward to it every day. As well as Chorus, I’ve been in the North Gwinnett Cluster’s Choral program for 5 years and North Gwinnett High School’s Choral Program is to die for! I love it and I want to peruse my career in music and be an Air Force Officer. North Gwinnett may use a lot more money on the football team, but the school overall is one of the best in the state and it should be the best in the country.

North Gwinnett has such a healthy school culture. There's a lot expected out of students, but the teachers typically understand that people are involved in things outside of school. The sports are great, and our student section is always lively at football games. The arts, though underfunded, are fantastic nonetheless. Overall a great place to spend four years!
At NGHS, there is an excellent variety in classes with AP, Gifted, Honors, and CP classes available. However, the school has made a large amount of poor decisions regarding late assignments causing many teachers to do away with homework. In addition to this, the administration is inept at dealing with bulling and harassment cases as well as mental health issues. With few exceptions, the majority of the staff at North Gwinnett does not care about its students and is more interested in funding than student well-being. The school does boast numerous clubs, but sadly, the officer selection process is more of a popularity contest, not an actual interview process, inhibiting the growth of students and "teaching you that life is unfair," as the staff says. Several hard-working, caring teachers have left the school because they were under-appreciated. On disciplinary issues, NGHS seems to either shame the innocent or blame the victim. A once terrific school has become subpar and corrupt.
