Caring students and caring teachers are everywhere at North Fort Myers High School. Their sports programs as well as academics are the best out there. The school spirit is incredible.
NFM high school offered a number of AICE courses to meet our daughter's interests and allow her to explore different subjects. Communication was frequent and information was easily available. Her counselor at the school was top notch. She guided her toward programs that fit her well.
North Fort Myers was a good experience overall. It helped me expand my abilities in the arts and gave me opportunities to grow academically. I am one of many students who earned their AICE Diploma from North and feel as though they were very supportive of my accomplishment and ability to do such. My negative experiences had to be with the bathrooms. Many were dirty, as most of the campus, and constantly out of some type of product. Such as hand soap or toilet paper. There were times when the stalls were clogged or left unflushed. My last complaint is that there was always the smell of some type of drug or vape as well.
I think overall it’s a pretty good school. Although I can only talk for AICE/ honors classes as I didn’t really take much else, but the courses were rigorous enough that you get all the information you need for the future class or exams. There were some problems I heard about counselors. I never had a problem with mine personally, but I know that wasn’t the case for most. Normally relating to just not responding or not given the required information/guidance to move forward.
I feel like most of the teachers are good and know a lot about their subject, but then you can get put with some bad teachers. With this in mind, it is near impossible to switch classes because of a teacher. I would also have to say that the AICE program is a relatively good program to go into. Some say that it is supper stressful, but it depends on your person. I do not know much about the arts program, but from what I can tell is the instructors are good.
The teachers are amazing, all the admin are nice and understable a really good school for academics and extracurriculars
I really enjoyed my time at North Fort Myers High School. The best parts were the many opportunities (Clubs, Sports, etc.) to get involved in. The teachers were all welcoming and made the school feel like a second home and I also enjoyed how clean the school was and how safe I felt knowing security guards and cops were surveying in case anything goes wrong. The worst part had to be how sport centered the school was. I applied for an arts school but found that the athletics programs were more supported and better funded than the art programs were.
I came to North Fort Myers High School about halfway through my sophomore year of high school. To be completely honest, I hated it. I didn't want to move in the first place, and the school didn't make things any easier. I found it difficult to connect with the students, it just felt like they didn't care, and most of my teachers made little effort to help me get adjusted. I oftentimes felt overwhelmed and completely out of my comfort zone. It wasn't until my junior year of high school that I started to fully adjust to the school, I joined the marching band and started doing dual enrollment classes which allowed me to broaden my academic horizons. While I still never got the feeling that I was fully accepted or wanted at the school, it offered me amazing opportunities and provided me with all of the support I needed to be a good student, even if I couldn't connect with the people there.
The school has seen its good years and bad years. Unfortunately my freshman year ended with the Pandemic lockdown. They did their best to adapt and make sure all students had what they needed to continue their education. As of to this day I remember some of the teachers in a positive as well a negative light. But the overall experience would be a 8/10.
Going here I have genuinely grown and changed. The staff and teachers here care for their students like no other school, especially not in my region. They make real attempts at developing relationships and keeping students safe. Academically, athleticly, and artisticly we shine beyond everyone else. There is such a diverse student population and so many different option and directions to go here.
North Fort Myers High has many great teachers who truly bring so much life into the school. I wouldn't have enjoyed my years there without the wonderful staff.
What I liked the most about North Fort Myers high school was the inclusion of the arts and sports in one environment. I believe it is crucial for the arts programs to be on the rise and on par with the sports programs, as they are both important to serving a student's identity. North Fort Myers High school is a place where anyone can try as many different hobbies and interests as they like in their four years here. This school prioritizes the students finding their path after high school but also during their four years.
Thoroughly enjoyed my four years here. The Student Government is one of the best in the state, and works hard to not only plan fun school events but also represent the school on a statewide level at conferences.
I’m currently enrolling my junior year in North Fort Myers High School. What I most like about the school is the help and resources I receive from the admin, as well as the teachers whom are professionals in their fields.
I would like to see more improvement and variety on clubs and activities, so they can cover all areas of interest of future careers.

Overall, a very nice school, teachers and counselors are very supportive and do their jobs efficiently. Pretty much everyone at this school is friendly, and you will find yourself with people who have the same interests as you eventually. Very humid and hot during some points of the year.
North Fort Myers High School is a beautiful school. Teachers are kind and really do care for their students. They do what they can to make sure everyone is successful and pass their class.
Overall, North Fort Myers High School is one of the best in Lee County. There is a great sense of school community that the staff works very hard to maintain. Their AICE program is one of the most important academic programs available. I am a current member of the AICE program and although the work is rigorous and often difficult, the program provides you with a major scholarship opportunity and properly prepares you for a college environment. I am also very proud to be a part of the Theatre program at NFMHS. They do amazing work every year and provide performers and tech students with an amazing opportunity and learning experience. The majority of issues I have with NFMHS are problems that arise from the district such as the conditions of the food and transportation. However, I do believe that a few of the teachers are not properly equipped to work at the high school level. Overall, North Fort Myers High School is one of the best schools available in the area it is in.
