North East High School has outstanding staff, a ton of extracurriculars, and a lot of courses. Most of the staff works extremely hard; whether, it be cleaning, cooking, teaching, or making us feel safe. I am excited for my senior year to start due to the interesting classes I plan on taking. There is so many sports, clubs, and intramurals throughout fall, winter, and spring. However, the only bad thing I can say about the school is that I did not appreciate one of my teachers. Instead of teaching, this teacher would be on her phone texting her boyfriend, while my English teacher would be busting her butt off grading fifty three-page essays from the eleventh-grade honors English classes. Granted this is my business teacher being compared to my English teacher who is one of the hardest (if not the hardest) working teacher in the whole school. Other than one bad teacher, this school is incredible!
North East High School is very near and dear to my heart. I have attended the school district my whole life, and have learned some of the most important lessons of my life there. The teachers are so personable and they genuinely care about the students, and their well being. The class size is very small, and the classes allow for one on one attention with the teachers. The academics are challenging and they offer Honors and Advanced Placement classes as well. They could have offered more Advanced Placement exams, but the challenge and opportunity to do well has always been there for those who want it. The arts program is stellar. There is something for everybody, and even varsity athletes have the opportunity to participate in arts. The teachers and administration do a great job of instilling morals and values in the students, and a great work ethic that will prepare them for college. May North East's legacy live on forever!
I would not want to be part of a different school district. North East puts forth opportunities for all students, and the teachers care about all of their pupils. The administration puts forth their best effort to provide students with the greatest education!
