It's easy to focus during the school, and the teachers are very supportive and motivational. Also the peers are very helpful. The academics are improving tremendously. Our alumni also help sponsor majority of our events, here at north division. We also have several support teachers, many resources available to us. And we certainly have a great drum line and orchestra choir. The environment is great, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My experience at NDHS is great! My freshman year i attended Bradley Tech, i was completely on the wrong path, i wasn't doing what i was suppose to i didn't have that extra push to get me started. I didn't have anybody to encourage me to do whats right. I transferred to NDHS i had people to encourage me to get on the right path. I went from getting bad grades to good grades. I joined the basketball team, made some friends that pushed me to do better, to better myself. My junior year i joined JAG ( Jobs for America's Graduates), that program gave me a lot of experience, it paid for me to take my CNA classes at MATC. Like the opportunities the school provide are awesome, the staff here is very encouraging, they have a very big impact on you. They support you on anything you choose to do, they give people that extra push to get them started on a great path!
The teachers at North Division High School are very caring and respectful. They provide extra help after school and show that they care about the students. They even show tough love when you need it, and pick you up when you down. They are not only our teachers they are like family. They encourage you to stay after school for tutoring even if you understand the work, they want you to gain more knowledge about the topics. They hand out rubrics and go in dept on what they expect for you to complete. They push you to exceed you expectations and goals and for you to go above and beyond what you think you cannot do. After studying the students they come up with ways to teach them in a way everybody can learn. They provide 1 on 1 learning services at during your lunch hour as well. The teachers at North Division are very motivating and educated.
