North Creek High School Reviews
Rating 4.03 out of 5 64 reviews
Overall, North Creek is pretty great. Good choice of classes, beautiful campus (very well maintained and super sustainable). Everyone there is pretty nice. The only complaint I have… are the teachers. This obviously differs from person to person, and I’m only in my freshman year, but I really haven’t had a good experience with a lot of teachers, and I can say that I’m speaking for a lot of people. I think that they need to do a better job with hiring teachers that are suited for their jobs and a better job monitoring them. Now I know that this may be difficult, but I think that there are plenty of ways to fix this issue. We do a couple of surveys every once in a while, and I think including one for feedback for teachers would definitely be something they should do. Another thing I’d like to mention that from my experience had been really outstanding is the counselors and administration. They do an amazing job at supporting students, and have a great system. Anyways, that’s it. Go jags!
North Creek High School is an excellent school! My experience with North Creek High has been great with many events and awesome clubs. There are events like Homecoming, the Spring Fling, and our yearly Jag Day, where we set up games and celebrate school spirit. The clubs are diverse, from DECA, HOSA, and even Book Club, you can join any club! It's a good way to make new friends and to find out what you like. You can even start your club! The sports are great as well. The football games are perfect to show off school spirit and cheer on our team. North Creek has a beautiful campus, with great classes and teachers. The staff is helpful, and if you have any problems, there is always someone to help. My two favorite places are the Library, which has 2 levels, and a great selection of books, and the Commons, where Nutrition Break and our Lunches take place. If you are looking for a good high school, North Creek is the place to be!
North Creek High School looks good from the outside. Our new buildings glisten, students excel in STEM education, and our funding is certainly sizable. However, from the perspective of a student who participated in student government, many academic clubs, theatre, and several AP classes I have to point out its MANY flaws. These include a lack of focus on the arts, AP class teachers who are not qualified to be teaching, hypocrisy everywhere you turn, and a certain ASB activities coordinator who couldn't help but speak badly about students they disliked to other students. This teacher adored and gushed about students who could hardly manage to look up from their phones and barely tolerated ones who worked tirelessly to make the school a better place for its students. However, these are tame issues in comparison to what many American high school students struggle with daily. I appreciate my time at North Creek but I hope the administration begins to acknowledge these issues soon.
