Although the school's average graduating class is only around 50 students, it is full of big ideas. I enjoyed the small- school aspect of North Collins because I knew probably every student by name. Our small sports teams won division championships 10 times while I was attending, and the school spirit was always evident. Our musical theater program was the cause of many alumni theater career choices. With a staff of award-winning and truly caring individuals, I believe that I received a top-notch educational experience from the North Collins school district.

Very small school, graduated with 52 students and had a 100% graduation rate for my class. There are pros and cons to small schools, everyone knows everyone and everything, that could be good and bad.
I am one of those people who believe you get out of it what you put into it. True, North Collins is a very small school, and as such, you are limited with the programs and extra curriculars that they offer. However, for such a small school, the administration does a fairly good job of offering diverse programs for the student body, including vocational programs. And the academics are good, IF you are willing to do your part and work hard. The rating of this school has been consistently rising each year my daughter has been a student, and she is on track to graduate with a perfect 4.0. There are some teachers who, unfortunately, have reached tenure status and don't really give their full effort anymore, but I think they are the minority. I do wish there was less focus on sports and more on other extra curricular activities, but such is life in a small rural town. In short, I've found most everyone at the school to be accommodating, encouraging and helpful. You will get out of this school what you are willing to put into it, it's really just that simple.
