North Catholic is very welcoming. You feel like you are apart of the school right away. People are friendly and outgoing toward anyone that is new! The teachers help you get involved right away and make sure you are connecting with other students in the school. The academics part of the school stands out more than anything else. The teachers and staff make sure you are understanding everything and are always there for extra help if you need it. They put their jobs before anything else and are very dedicated to what they do. The sports at North Catholic are outstanding as well. Every sport makes sure that your grades come first and that you are being successful both in and out of school. Every sports team cares about you as a person, not just an athlete! All of our coaching staff really cares about their players and wants them to succeed in life overall.

Although neither of my parents are practicing, I have grown up in a household of mixed religious backgrounds. Due to this, up until high school, I have had very few experiences with religion apart from going to Christmas and Easter services. That was true, at least, until I moved to Pittsburgh and started going to a Catholic school. I walked into the school unbaptized thinking I was an outsider and that I would be judged instantly. However, this could not be further from the truth. As a student at North Catholic, I have been required to take four full years of religion class where I have done my best to keep an open mind. At no point was I scrutinized or even questioned about my beliefs. North Catholic respects everyone in every regard while being a Catholic institution, which led to a great four years of high school. This of course does not take into account the incredible school spirit, academics, and culture found at North Catholic High School.
Amazing school and I definitely recommend! It has a state of the art campus with a great learning environment! The teachers are some of the best I've ever met. North offers many different class choices with many activities too! The food is not only delicious, but North has many different options including healthy choices.
