I’ve had an overall good experience. Covid changed everything for everyone though. Teachers and assignments seem to help with college readiness. Sports are competitive.
I liked a lot of my instructors. I would change the food options and our elective courses. I would like future students to be taught more about real-life situations and how to handle them as an adult.
The new principal is nice. School is clean and I feel safe there. Counselors are great to work with too. There could be more parent involvement. It's always the same parents volunteering. The sports teams need more school involvement too.
North Bullitt High School completely changed my views on education and teaching. Prior to attending high school there, I had not had many teachers who were passionate about educating or showed much interest in their students' lives and development. But going to North Bullitt proved to me that there was more to school than memorizing and regurgitating information. I began to see the art and skill that goes into teaching and learning while observing the involvement and collaboration of my high school educators. These teachers provided me with the structure and encouragement I needed to find joy in schoolwork rather than obligation. They showed me that they cared for me as a person in a time when I felt very alone and encouraged me to persevere to reach my goals. I will forever be grateful for my opportunity to attend high school in Bullitt County and for the amazing teachers I met while I was there.
The teachers at North are all very friendly and nice. All of my teachers were very thoughtful and really cared about their student's grades and helping them with anything they needed.
There are very many rules that prohibit students from expressing themselves. They are very unorganized with scheduling and things. The education you receive there is not very good, much lower than the other schools in this county.
Amazing school, With great people and a loving environment. It is not really diverse that's the only thing I would change, It is known as a predominantly white school but over the years I have been there it has grown to be more diverse.
Terrible management, treatment of students and staff. Funding went straight into sports while art was nearly cut entirely for being "messy". Art room wasn't even given soap for years.
North Bullitt High School would be a great school if under administration. out of all the Bullitt county schools North Bullitt is on the bottom. with a little fixing up and better administration North Bullitt could be so much better.
I have liked North Bullitt in the sense that they have helped me for college readiness. They make it very easy to talk to someone about graduating as well as telling you what you need to do. The staff is mostly friendly and them seem to do their job to the best of their abilities.
North Bullitt High School is such an amazing environment for students. We have almost anything any student needs and what we don't have we are working hard to incorporate into our school.
The experience could have been much better. The administration at times seemed to only be helping certain students at the top of the classes while also helping the delinquents instead of other kids near the top of the class that need the help.
I liked that North Bullitt offered dual credit courses. I liked the many athletic and extra curricular activities that they offered.
I love the teachers at North Bullitt; I feel like they are very involved with their students' education, and I feel that they truly care about each individual student in their classrooms. I would like to see a change in administration as I feel like they care more about attendance and test scores as opposed to the actual physical and mental health of their students.
I've spent four years wishing this place would improve but all it's done is gotten worse. Since my freshman year, the administration has cut all dual credit science classes, the art pathway, the culinary pathway, the early childhood development pathway, and left North Bullitt as a skeleton of study halls and failure. In place of recognition of academic achievement there are only sports teams that have no merit to be recognized for. Although the clubs allowed me to become a Governor's Scholar, I will not pride myself on being an NBHS alum. There's no student or parent "buy-in". No one gets involved in things they are passionate about because for most of us, those "things" aren't offered.
I haven't really experienced anything bad here. It's honestly just a good school. I would definitely recommend going to school here.
I do not like this school as bathrooms are locked and you can really only go to the singular office bathroom which is absolutely disgusting. Most teachers have personality clashes with students and are not enjoyed classes. NB has recently removed lots of pathways that students really needed. We have a huge drug problem I see at least 10 people do drugs a day. Students are not good either. They burn cigarettes on the 100% tobacco free sign. They vape in your face. Overall not well ran :/.
