North Allegheny is an incredible public school experience. The school is large, with graduating classes close to 800. Teachers understand how busy all students are, as most students are involved in an incredible amount of activities. If the established sports, musics, or extra curricular activities don't suite a student's needs, they are welcome to create a new activity. The academics fully prepare students for wherever their future takes them, whether it is to trade school, community college, or an ivy league school. Not only are the educators fantastic, the faculty set to help students in other ways do truly serve their purpose. I also always appreciated how while sports received more funding, the school did not neglect their arts to a disgusting degree.
There have been so many opportunities at North Allegheny. There are many classes available, but there are definitely some things to take in to consideration. The amount of AP classes available is pretty low before junior year, meaning that students generally would have to load up on those classes in their junior year or skip grades in classes in order to have taken several AP’s. On a different note, though, the teachers are amazing for the most part. I have learned a lot, and they are generally pretty understanding, too. For athletes, there are so many sports that some don’t even have enough competition. Overall, North Allegheny has made many things possible through the options provided to students, and it has so far been a wonderful experience besides the high amount of poor behavior at the intermediate high school which recently has gotten out of control. It is a very large school and there are lots of groups, though.
