Academically, sure, NUAMES really upholds the promise and standard for academic focus in the school. I really like being a student at the Ogden NUAMES campus which is a different experience then the main one because were on Weber states campus so we have easy access to the stores, library, centers, gym, etc. But what sucks is you have to pay out of pocket for about everything at NUAMES from lunch to textbooks & they have a lot of requirements in order to stay at NUAMES but I am grateful for the opportunities I've landed upon coming here from early college opportunities, supportive teachers, or assistance in determining my career path; however, one of the downsides for me personally is there isn't a lot of diversity; This isn't the fault of the school, but I'm uncomfortable not seeing many people who look like me or to whom I can relate. Some teachers/staff are extremely strict (and kinda mean), but the majority are helpful if you put in the effort. Prepare yourself! (Btw no sports)
This is the best school ever! It’s nice to go to a school where all the teachers actually care about you not just your test scores. Also where everyone is there because they want to have a better education. Also the ability to actually be on a college campus makes the transition from high school very smooth. I love this school so much and would recommend anyone that wants to get a good education come here even if you don’t want to go into an stem field because although it is a stem focused school there are lots of other classes available and you will receive one of the best educations possible.
I feel NUAMES Davis is a very good school for advanced students who want to get ahead. NUAMES is set up to make you succeed. Many students who attend NUAMES get their associate when they graduate. NUAMES focuses on college readiness and STEM fields. Compared to many high schools in the area. NUAMES is best set up to help you achieve your goal. The staff are Intune with students and actually care. Course work is hard but rewarding. The acceptance at NUAMES is unmatched. NUAMES supports its LBGTQ students more than any school I have ever seen. One element I feel is lacking in its diversity. I feel the population is more white and male then another high school. Addionatlly, some of the school population is very misogynic and racist. They tend to the traditional view that is held in STEM fields. That being said you feel discriminations against you, NUAMES staff listen to you and do review and investigations.
