Newport Harbor High school is an amazing school filled with opportunities for every student to take advantage of. We have over clubs on campus to fit anyone's interests. The overall learning environment is inspiring. The teachers are 100 percent dedicated to the well being of each and every student. In addition, the student to teacher ratio is perfect. Teachers are never too busy for their student and the learning environment is beyond enjoyable. Not only is our campus absolutely breathtaking, but we are provided with air conditioned classrooms and up to date technology. Newport Harbor High School has been an overall great experience for me so far!

Newport Harbor High School has one of the most prestigious academic offerings for high school students around. From the intensive IB Diploma program, to the numerous AP classes, to the absolutely incredible Junior Mentor program that is very unique to our school, Newport Harbor holds so many opportunities. The faculty is just as superb, with a principal who really tries his hardest to find the perfect balance in discipline and friendly engagement with students. Almost every teacher goes above and beyond. While there is the small handful of difficult ones, the majority of the staff seems to truly care about the students and constantly willing (even excited!) to help students in any way they can.

Newport Harbor has SO much to offer- whether it be the millions of clubs/sports/activities to join, the HUGE push on acamdeics, supportive teachers, or just the simple beauty of the campus. I feel very fortunate to call this school home.
I just moved to Newport Harbor this year and honestly academically there is not much to complain about. They offer IB and some AP courses and most teachers care about your education especially if you show interest in doing well. However social wise there is a big cultural division between Hispanics and white ethnicities. Most people are friendly, however you definitely have to put yourself out there to make friends. Between CDM and NHHS, this school is definetly the better one.
