My 4 kids have been in Mansfield ISD, Venus ISD, and now Newman Cedar Hill. NICH far exceeds the quality of education that my kids received at MISD & VISD. One child struggles with math, another is Autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, and is medically complex. Everyone, (teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, maintenance workers) at NICH have gone above and beyond to help them succeed. The campus is large and beautiful but the class sizes are small, allowing for individual attention and time to truly get to know each kid. I spend alot of time on campus and at sporting events. I have only once encountered any rude kids or teenagers. The school teaches the importance of community. The older students ate friendly and mentor the younger ones. It is refreshing to encounter this in todays world. NICH helps to shape the whole person into becoming respectable members of society.
Launching the Newman Cedar Hill Campus in the year of 2015, the poorly built school was sharing the campus with a university called Northwood. Due to this collaboration, Newman was not able to uphold the classroom guidelines. Pre-12 through 3rd-grade students were told to sit on disgusting floors while being taught.
Newman is not your ordinary campus. Although the campus displays a beautiful scenery, the school is venerable to break-ins due to its lack of security. Four years ago, the Cedar Hill campus went into emergency lockdown due to a couple that apparently snuck onto the campus to go "camping" with weapons on their person. The CHPD was informed along with CBS News as a breaking news report.
Overall, I do not recommend this school to any high schoolers. Newman is not persistent with their high school teachers. The few that do stay, tend to not show much engagement as other teachers would. Aside from academics, I would only recommend Newman for strictly sports only.

Newman has a beautifulof college campus environment that gives off a cozy feel of nature. The students have made such a great culture and the way we interact creates a united team. The teachers really care about their students. They will be there for you and inspire you to the fullest. Although I really love this school, there are many problems that students face. Student participation is important to help the school run, but in some cases students do not really have a voice. We do have student council and National Honor Society, but most of the ideas get denied. This gives students the feeling that we are not given a level of trust we hope the administration would give us.There is also a majority of unorganization between administration and students. We are a young school and although we, students have a lack of voice, I believe this makes us stronger with the effort to reform our school together. The experiences that comes with attending this school is unforgettableable!
