Newman International Academy in Arlington was the best decision I ever made. School has always been a struggle for me. I have multiple learning disabilities, and was socially awkward. Newman made me feel comfortable, and I began to excel in my studies. I have always been an BC student, but with the small classrooms, and caring teachers, I have a 3.7 GPA, and I have the confidence to apply at several Universities. If you are looking for a school that will help you achieve your goals, that is caring and supportive, you have found the right place.

I had been a student here for around seven years and left last year. The school is wonderful for students who need a small space to work. The people there make you feel like family. It is undoubtedly comfortable. The downfall of the school is constancy in things such as phone call to parents, suspicion, and things along those lines. While this school like many others has it's faults it is also one of the best second chance schools around. This is all coming from a student who was expelled. I would recommend this school to those looking for a small and safe environment for their kids. Unless of course you are look for a good SpEd program. seek else-wear.
Newman is a decent school. the education provided is easy to grasp when you have the right mind set. The food is trash but lets be honest most kids might not have food once they get home so the school lunch is all they might be provided. The POWWOW's teach very good lessons about how to become a strong warrior. The school works hard on enriching the students with a nurturing culture. In the school song it reads 'We rise to build our nation with wisdom, stature, and favor' which we sing this song every POWWOW so that its written in our hearts. I've studied at this school since second grade and there haven't been any major changes that are apparent except for the buildings. The staff are decent all i can say is that they are doing their job. The building is decent looking. The sports programs are magnificent. Overall i think my favorite things about Newman is getting to see my friends, attending certain classes and the sports programs.
