Great school for anyone who desires a Faith Based Education. academics are excellent with the opportunity to participate in the nearby Career Center Programs (unlike the local public school), CEO Business Programs and Dual Credit Courses with Sauk Valley Community College. Athletics are also a plus and they offer a large variety of Activities and Clubs to get involved in. Attended NCCHS and my children went here as well.

Newman is a very unique school, situated in a community with another incredible high school, Sterling High School, it finds it uniqueness in its incredible community of parents and alumni who support the school, especially their incredible athletics programs.
Newman Central Catholic High School is a family centered in Christ. It's a small private Catholic school of about 230-250 students. This is great for getting one-on-one help with the teachers and getting to know every single student there on a personal level. They have rigorous classes that will definitely prepare you for whatever college you might attend, as well as incredible clubs and programs to take part in. The senior Kairos Retreat is sure to change your life. Sports are a big part of the school. The football program is successfully led by the 5th winningest coach in IHSA football history. They have a very nice and well taken care of sports complex and weight room. With the school pulling in kids from towns as far as 24 miles away, the location couldn't be better. Catholic faith is taken very seriously and is incorporated into classes. Of my 4 years, I have nothing bad to say. The Newman community is referred to as a family because all the caring people that associate with it.
