I have been attending Newkirk Public Schools since pre-kindergarten. Throughout my years attending this school, I have been through 6 principles, each worse than the last. The teachers who are most qualified for the job get replaced with coaches who are fresh out of college and hardly know anything about teaching the subject they are teaching. However, the spirit Newkirk public schools exemplify is extraordinary, although our sports teams have mostly losing records, the cheerleaders, student section, and community are still completely behind them.

I loved my cheer coach and soccer coach. They made my life in high school awesome!

I would recommend a change in teachers and get teachers that are there for the kids and not just a paycheck. I am currently a senior in high school and I am not even closely prepared for college and that scares me! I do not think I have been taught how to study or prepare for tests. I believe Newkirk has failed me in this area.
With small schools i feel like you can be more in depth with friends, teachers, assignments, activities, almost anything that has to do with small schools because of the small population which i think is a big plus over big schools.
