New Vista HS was the perfect choice for me! The environment is very welcoming and the community is fantastic! The relationship we are able to have with our teachers and administration makes New Vista special, I am very comfortable at school and I always have someone I trust to talk to if something is wrong. With our focus on equity, respect, and self-advocacy I have grown into a well-rounded student and person that I feel like I can be proud of. I have New Vista to thank for who I have become :).

New Vista is one of the best schools in the Boulder Valley School District. It is a rich learning environment, an accepting community, and an overall fun and enriching place to be. The academics are specifically catered towards the students with unique classes such as Concept of Identity, Equity, History of Rock, and Human Sexuality. The teachers are incredibly well qualified and very invested in students' success. The school culture is very diverse and inclusive, and there are a multitude of clubs and activities offered, such as Natural Highs, Earth Task Force, and Self Love club. We only offer one sport, which is ultimate frisbee, but most students aren't here for sports anyway. The food is typical school food, and the building is pretty old, but it is getting remodeled in the near future. Overall New Vista is a great place to be!
Overall, the assets of New Vista High School lie in the academics. The teachers are accommodating, reliable, and quite kind. The school is kept clean, and there is a huge amount of appreciation for the teachers and staff. Throughout my years there, I have always felt that the social relationships between students are generally understanding and respectful. Of course, it is still high school.

The classes that I took there were incredibly unique, ranging from Equity in the U.S. to Psychology of Imprisonment, to Human Sexuality. The classes focused more on understanding material rather than memorizing material, and many classes utilized the outdoors when possible.

This is a great school. The only drawbacks are general social issues that are prevalent in any school, as well as a lack of racial diversity.
