Its a place where you can be yourself. The teachers are really cool and whenever i go to school i feel free to be creative because of the schools atmosphere. I have found some really good friends there and i hope my last school year has been as great as the others. The only thing i miss is the normal high school experience im talking the whole going to all these different dances and sports events and field day.
New School for the Arts is a very diverse community, it’s easy to make friends and overall is a very tight-knit school where everyone is friendly and supportive of each other. The school focuses on the art that their students wants to peruse, but still provides academic focus that doesn’t overrule the students’ involvement in their art classes. The teachers are very understanding and easy to communicate with and provide help to students when needed.
This school is a safe haven for those who feel out of place in a public school. People of all sexualities, ethnicities, and genders are free to express themselves here. However, I wish the academics were more rigorous, and many people do not find themselves ready for college. Overall, however, this school is a good choice!
