My experience with New Mexico Virtual Academy has allowed me to learn independently as well as forming an understanding of time management. Having the ability to work ahead was also an advantage. However, having the ability to stay in constant communication with my teachers has made the high school experience more memorable because of their open door policy. Although, they do not have a sports program they do recognize public school sports programs.
New Mexico Virtual Academy made my move between states smooth, and are making my transition to college easy and mostly stress free!
While I enjoy the ease of accessibility on online schools, I hope to see a change in the structure. All the teachers are wonderful and helpful, but they deserve more authority. I hope to see a school where teachers are held higher than their students.
