This school prepared me for college in every way possible. Not only did I have great academic resources, I also had the opportunity to refine my background in music. I had a very long commute, and spent long hours in school and extracurricular activities, but every second of it paid off. This school was definitely worth the time and dedication. I had excellent teachers and stellar music instructors who taught us everything we needed to know about the subjects we studied. There was a minimum GPA requirement to stay in this school, so it was very competitive and highly academic.

I have been attending New Mexico School for the Arts for three years now. This school is unique because it provides the most opportunities to achieve your goal. The music department is on a decline, but I still value what I have learned from all of my teachers and classes. Another unique factor about this school is the collaboration between arts departments. People have the chance to design for dancers, sing with actors, act out spoken word. Many people would have never even tried to do these things if they haven't gone to this school.
As a senior at New Mexico School For The Arts, I can confidently say NMSA is a wonderful place to learn both arts and academics. The theater education I have received here is out of this world amazing, and the wonderful teachers and academics helped me receive a full ride to a top college. The school culture at times can feel a bit fake and exaggerated and their are some issues that need to be addressed, but overall NMSA is a wonderful place to spend your high school years.
