My name is Heaven Spearman and I am entering my senior year at New Heights Christian Academy. My overall experience at New Heights Christian Academy has been astonishing . I came from an urban community elementary school where I was academically behind and socially isolated. My attendance at New Heights has academically and socially excelled. The school’s teaching and administrative staff has continued to be a tremendous help throughout my journey. Although, the school is academically great. I would like to see my school expand in its athletics department. I would also like to see the school’s general facility and diversity grow. Overall, I am very appreciative to be attending a school that cares about my aspirations and will assists in any way to see me achieve my goals.

New Heights is a very nice school. The staff is kind and the students all know each other. The class sizes are pretty small which allows for more one on one between teacher and student. The college program with Houston Community College is a huge advantage. The SAT/ACT prep could be a bit more updated. If you are a mature student determined to get a good education and continue on the path to a great career, I recommend New Heights. If you know when to buckle down and be serious, then New Heights is the way to go. Only mature students may take the college entrance exams to do the college program. It has come to my knowledge that students, who have previously experienced the "freedom" of public schools, do not favor the private school setting. I have been attending New Heights for quite a while and honestly the staff try to allow as much freedom as they possibly can. It is usually taken advantage of and that results in stricter rules. The experience is all in what the students make it.
Overall, this is a great school. If you are looking to better yourself and get a good education, go here. Its a smaller school so all of its students are able to educate themselves in a comfortable environment. One of my most memorable experiences while attending this school was the day I won first place for my classes egg drop competition. I remember being so proud of myself that day. I felt like I had accomplished something big. This was just one of many memorable experiences that I have been grateful enough to witness.
