I really enjoyed the size of the school. Everyone knows each other. The teachers know all of the students names, even if they had never taught them. There are many resources for extra help. Teachers stay after school at least once a week, we have a school wide study hall every Monday and every other Wednesday where students go to the teachers they need most help with. The library is also open to students where they are free to rent books and use the computers. The school also organizes internships for the 11th graders each year. There are also many school activities from African Drumming to Model UN. It is overall pretty good. The only thing I have to say is that I wish there was more diversity. Most people shared the same interests but I did not so I never really made many friends.

Great opportunity to start clubs and getting involved with your community! Will push you outside of your box.
New Haven Academy is an amazing High School. It allows students to take college courses while still in high school, which may transfer over when enrolling into college. The atmosphere of the school is great because they teach students how to use their voice. It is a school that is grounded in the idea of Facing History and Ourselves and that was by far my favorite aspect.
