My experience with New Futures was great. What I liked about New Futures is it was a school made for pregnant young teens and young mothers. This school gave many young students with babies hope. Just because we had kids at a young age doesn't mean our life is over or we won't have a future. What I would like to see change about New Futures is making students there own locked shelves for there items like for their babies car seat, diaper bag and other items they might bring. There has been many incidents of missing and stealing items. I also would like this school to have many other opportunities of classes because this school doesn't have AP or duel credit classes. I know many young mother's outside of school campus that doesn't attend New Futures because they don't have any higher classes like a regular High School has.

My experience at New Futures has been a simple, yet, practical, yet, unforgettable one. My favorite teachers of y two years here, were Mary Rafferty and Nelleka Sims. Their dedication to seeing their students succeed and the fact they actually care about the students, no matter what grade they are in and as adults getting ready to face the world on their own bringing their son or daughter with them. In my first year here, I was not willing to give the school the chance it deserved, it is a great school with many wonderful staff members and the principal herself is a headstrong lady looking to see all her pupils succeed. The importance to them of their students and their students children's wellbeing, means more than anyone could hope to get from this school. They make me feel welcome, and as normal as anyone else. The fact all us young parents have a place to turn to do finish getting the education we're entitled to, is more than we hoped for.
new Futures provided me with a unique and helpful Community when it came to finishing my high school career. I was able to finish High School while parenting my son because I was able to bring him with me everyday. my favorite part about the school was that I was able to breastfeed my son. While attending new Futures I became apart of many Community Support Systems scientific challenges and academic groups. the new future staff and administration always extended a helping hand and helped me prove in my weak areas. I will always return to new Futures to extend a helping hand and to continue to support the young parents community.
