New Foundations Charter School Reviews
Rating 3.96 out of 5 179 reviews
I have attended New Foundations since my freshmen year and it has been a great experience. The teachers are very caring and do their best to ensure that every student excels in their class. The school is very inclusive and diverse and allows creative freedom despite the uniform and other strict rules that are put in place for our safety. Despite the lack of space, many after school activities take place that allow students a change of pace. Students can partake in many sports or clubs like Art, science, and robotics where they can learn and use their hands to build things. Or they can join clubs like Gay straight alliance, or Muslim student association, where they can learn about their peers and how despite their differences, everyone should get along. Over all, attending New foundations has been a great experience.
First year of middle school, I attended New Foundations Charter School. This school has changed my life and impacted me and my education inequality. Attending this school allowed me to notice the education I was getting at Bethune was not matched. New Foundations was beyond my comfort zone and I felt like I didn’t belong academically. I was failing most of my classes because everything was a lot more demanding. You would think that a 6th grader should know multiplication, but I didn’t. Therefore, I knew I was up for a challenge, however, I wasn’t ready to give up yet. New Foundations is the best school for a solid education and they push students to bring out the best version of themselves. I would like to see more parents involved and stricter rules at New Foundations and harsher punishments.
New Foundations is a very welcoming, diverse & inclusive high school. There is room for everyone of all backgrounds, races & ethnicities. New foundations offers a lot of sports options as well as clubs. The teachers at the school care about the students and will do anything in their power to make sure every student succeeds. Though New Foundations has many benefits there are quite a few flaws. The school is quite small and does not have an auditorium which could limit growth possibilities for some students especially those interested in drama/acting. The school's administration does not take students as seriously as they should. Often when students voice their complaints about some policies the school has established and possible issues they had with teachers the school does not take them seriously. This causes students to often feel unheard. Other than those issues, New foundations is a good school that puts students' education first.
