New Century is a place where kids can feel free to be themselves. We have a small school population and most kids who come here are very intelligent and fun people to be with. I have never seen New Century students fight before, making our school a very safe and comfortable environment. You can choose between learning about programming, cyber, biomedical, aerospace engineering, and electrical engineering at New Century. Our school is made to prepare kids for their future careers, and we are offered that though college level "strand-based" courses at the high school level. Our strands include computer science, engineering, and biomedical. Kids are required to take two of their strand classes per year. This school is excellent when it comes to college prep, and I'm glad to be a New Century Falcon!

I personally loved New Century when I went there. It's a great school for your child to interact with robotics, arts, and music. The JROTC program is also very open to everyone, as are the staff. The staff is very appreciative and helpful when giving directions; or setting class schedules for students new and old. New Century is combined with Lee, which gives it a mixture of arts and robotics as New Century is known as more of a robotic or engineering type of school. Going to New Century has always been a dream of mine, not only was it one of the top schools in success but it would also look great on anyone’s transcript. My experience with the high school is fun, very academic, and allowed me to open to new people and things as I was very quiet.
My experience at New Century was an enriching one. People from all over the area were accepted into the school, so there were all kinds of different people with different backgrounds that attended. The school is highly specialized for teaching future engineers, computer scientists, and medical students. As a result, those looking to pursue other career choices may have an easier time at another school. One change that the school would benefit from is developing a set curriculum for the computer science students. Every year I was there, the classes would have completely different names for the same subject matter. This school did a great job at preparing students for college, however. All in all, it was a positive experience for me.
