In my years throughout Elementary and High School I have had wonderful experiences especially feeling like the school is quite a big family. We have gotten new teachers fresh out of college the past couple of years but they are filled with new information and different teaching methods to be taught when they were in college. The average class size is 15-20 students and varies depending on the courses you take. Our shop, agriculture, and special education programs. The teachers have the ability to have a one to one where you can get to know them and they get to know you. We have free college programs for anyone to take unless you fail the course. We enter in many competitions that beneficial to students for college as well. Since we are a small school combining the elementary and high school everybody knows everybody and there is a friend for everyone. If i were to change anything it would be to add a better disciplinary program for the school.
I like how the teachers are focused on the well being of students not only academically but in their personal lives as well.
Attending New Auburn has definitely been one of the most influencing experiences of my life. I have grown up in this small town of less than 400 people my entire life, and by having an average of 20-25 students in my class, I have grown with my classmates and consider them as family. New Auburn has its challenges since it has such a small population, but I believe that with those setbacks it has enabled it's students to move forward with skills most students can't get in other schools. We had to learn how to accept one another, be involved in our community, and had one of the most unique high school experience of our lives.
New Auburn is a great village with a great school. The student body is full of amazing individuals and the staff really cares about what they're doing. There are many people who sought out careers here even though they could be making more money somewhere else. They do this simply because we have such an amazing atmosphere. However because of lower funding our school sometimes suffers. We don't always have the necessary or proper items for certain clubs, classes, and sports. What we usually fall short on is population. I don't remember the last time we had a baseball or softball team, there were years where we didn't have a girl's basketball team, and even a year where we barely scrounged up enough people to qualify for 8 man football. Overall it's a great school in an amazing community.
It was the most exciting school year. I got a chance to study subjects that are very helpful such as leadership. The teachers work with every student individually which makes the whole process much better. Students are always ready and willing to help.
