This school is a decent school but lacks in diversity and adjustment to accepting outsiders. Most teachers are ole miss graduates and that is not a problem because I like ole miss but it is obvious that the fan fare for that school creates a holy than thou attitude and it is reflected over into the forefront of the surrounding areas within the school and outside of the school. The teachers are pretty good to work with outside of the ole miss persona and I believe New Albany could be a great school but politics are rampant and that prevents what needs to happen. If you can send your kids to Oxford City or Lafayette County or Ingomar, or even Tupelo City, you would be much better off to do so and pay the out of pocket tuition. Trust me, you child will thank you when they graduate because they education they will get and also the programs they will be exposed to will far outweigh what they will get at New Albany!

What I like about New Albany High School is the Teachers, staff and Administration. They are all wonderful people who care about the students. Their philosophy is truly, no student will be left behind and they make sure that all students are in a good place emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The programs that the school has for every child is awesome. At my high school, dual enrollment is offered, however, the only thing I would change about that, is make it where a student could actually earn an associates degree while still in high school, although the dual enrollment is a great option.
Entering high school for the first time may be pretty scary and stressful. Once I arrived I had butterflies but when I actually went in they were nice and welcoming, opposite of what I had figured they’d be. Me being a New Albany student all my life, I knew almost everyone I was surrounded around except most of the administrators. They were so nice and would do anything to make sure their students had a great four year experience. What I love about New Albany High School is that they’ve advanced our learning process and made learning so much easier. When I was in 10th grade, every single student and administrator got iPads. Learning and doing work on the iPads have bettered a lot of student’s grades and learning ability. I really have had a great experience at this high school and wouldn’t ask for anything else. I have nothing to dislike about New Albany High School because it’s been nothing but great to its students.
