Neuqua Valley High School Reviews

I am going to be a senior at Neuqua Valley this upcoming school year. There is great diversity throughout all the grade levels and minority groups have tripled in size throughout all my 3 years. The staff are very passionate about teaching the youth and are open to helping students during their lunch periods in the ARC. There is great variety of clubs, intramurals, sports, and activities at Neuqua! Cohesively, the students are nice, including, and make you feel welcomed into school. If you were to look at the school geographically, you would see that there are two campuses in the area. There’s a gold campus for the incoming Freshman, to get eased into the high school environment, and there’s a Blue campus for the upperclassmen! It is another great upside to Neuqua as it helps the freshmen overcome school anxiety. Last but not least, the school cirriculum and course catalog has a large variety of classes to captivate students attention, even if they are undecided in a career path!
My school prioritizes a well rounded education while also focusing on mental health. Neuqua Valley has intelligent and qualified teachers who set their students up for success. There are many opportunities for every student to succeed because of the wide variety of classes. The teachers want their students to learn and apply what they have learned to their daily life. The teachers also try to maintain quality relationships with their students. Our administration also prioritizes setting their students on an educational path that aligns with their desired career path. The school offers many career fairs and many opportunities to venture into different fields. They really want to set the students up for success after they leave Neuqua Valley. By also prioritizing the mental health of their students, Neuqua Valley truly wants the best for their students and ultimately want their students to succeed outside of high school.
Neuqua Valley High School's academics are excellent, with intelligent teachers who can thoughtfully answer all their students' questions and having origins ranging all the way to UChicago graduates and ex-CIA agents. Neuqua also has extremely advanced classes, such as the three AP sciences (physics, chem, and bio), and even Calc III, which is an actual college course. They also have a stellar music program that's won several Grammies, and which I've participated in myself as a violinist. We play extremely professional music and perform both strings-only and symphonic music.
My own personal experience at the school has been extremely positive as well. I've made lots of close friends, and everyone is extremely welcoming and kind. The school is also close to a public library, an excellent spot for studying and hanging out, and is only a few minutes' drive away from a plethora of restaurants and after-school activities. The environment in and around the school makes it feel like home.
