I LOVE being part of the Neuqua Valley family. We’re a LARGE school with small School feel. For years I didn’t feel like I fit in at school until I came to Neuqua. There are so many things offered for everyone! I’ve liked the types of elective classes offered so I could pursue my interests. Teachers are genuine and caring and of course Dr. McBride is the best. He truly cares about his students. He is seen at all athletic events, concerts and plays. He gives so much to us.

Neuqua is a great school. With great teachers and great students and great amenities and great resources and great rapport and great reputation. It's all great. What's hard is to live up and be your own kind of "great" in a school of over 4,000 people. It's easy for a student to get lost there. Hard to find that one great teacher, great counselor, great opportunity, great resource that works for them and makes them feel heard, feel considered. Neuqua has a rat-race type of culture. I suppose most "great" high schools do. I think what's important to remember about going to such a big, great school is that there is nothing wrong with being average. Lots of kids grow up today being told they are each special in thier own little way. But when you put 4,000 special kids into one buliding I guess nobody is. Which hurts. But it's an important life lesson to be introduced to early. What Neuqua gives it's students is lessons like these and many more. It teaches them life, and students adapt.
Neuqua is a type of school that provides its students with tremendous resources, facilities, and opportunities for both academic and athletic success. It has helped countless students achieve their dreams, and teaches them concepts that are vital to college and the outside world. It also has great opportunities to get involved with organizations, and provides students with a variety of clubs that peak their interests, including areas like sports, art, theater, music, language, academic, political matters, etc.
