I went to Neptune High School for my 11th and 12 grade year. I graduated in July of 2020! My old high school was 90 percent white people. As a mixed girl (black and white), with curly hair being in a mostly white dominated school was hard. Going to Neptune High School, with a great range of diversity, was really different for me and fun. They have a fun atmosphere, great teachers, and cool electives to choose from. For my senior year I chose the Digital design and Media electives. After those classes I realized what major I wanted to do in college. I'm proud to graduate from Neptune High School, and can't wait to start college this year!
Neptune High School strings along nothing but scholars! Teachers, guidance counselors, office ladies, and staff, are there to support students 100%. There are dozens of great opportunities within all students reach and so many spaces to fill. There is an opportunity for every student to stand out like a shining star and there is room for every out-going character in the building! There are so many chances to grow and be the change you want to see around you and Neptune is the place to do it. I was Neptune High Schools pep rally leader, football manager, and Class of 2018’s Mistress of Ceremony. Neptune is where all of my dreams have been fulfilled and I intend on giving back to my community when I am successful and obtain the career I always wanted.
Never had I ever been to a great school full of amazing people as NHS. The people, subjects, extracurricular activities, and plethora of aid both financially and personally make this one of the best places to get an education from based on its flexibility alone. There’s one thing I like changing is how they handle the sex education. In this case, they should either ban it or introduce it to seniors about to graduate.
